ARTICLE 1. PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION
The Purpose of the organization is to encourage the use, preservation and restoration of antique, custom, classic and street rod vehicles. To help people who are in need, organize fund raisers, special events, car shows and car cruises.
ARTICLE 2. CLUB MEMBERSHIP
A. Membership in the Coasters Car Club, Inc. is open to any person of good character genuinely interested in antique, custom, classic and street rod vehicles.
B. Ownership of an antique, custom, classic, street rod, stock, kit car vehicle is preferred, but is not mandatory.
C. A member is a person who paid dues. This means if a husband joins, his spouse in not a member until dues are paid for each. Only members can wear member jackets.
D. Membership in the Coasters Car Club, Inc. is not limited to a specific number of members.
ARTICLE 3. DUES OF THE CLUB
- Dues are to be set by the Executive Board.
- Dues will be billed to the membership by January 1st of each year.
- Non Payment of Dues: Any member who has not paid his or her dues by January 31st will be issued a past due reminder and a $5.00 penalty will be added each month until payment is made. If payment is not received by April 1st, the member shall be considered to have resigned and will be removed from the membership list.
ARTICLE 4. CONDUCT
A. There will be no fine or consequence to members that miss meetings or functions. However, individual members are to inquire as to what transpired at the missed meeting. The executive board is not responsible for calling missing members.
B. Members are to conduct themselves in a manner as not to downgrade the club. Discussion is encouraged at meetings, however, conduct shall remain respectful to the membership and the actions of all members should reflect their interest in achieving the stated goals of the club.
C. The use of alcoholic beverages is forbidden at all club cruises and shows. The use of alcoholic beverages may be approved at the discretion of the Executive Board for club social functions (for example: picnics, dances, Christmas Party, etc.)
ARTICLE 5. DISPLAYING OF THE CLUB EMBLEM
- The club emblem can be worn on a shirt, jacket, hat or other clothing. The club dash plaque/drag plate or emblem can be displayed on any members vehicle. In the event a member allows their membership to lapse or otherwise severs connections with the club the emblem loses its significance if worn by or displayed on the vehicle of a non member.
ARTICLE 6. OFFICERS AND THEIR ELECTION
A. The executive board of the Coasters Car Club Inc. shall consist of 7 members nominated and elected by the general membership.

b. Vice President
c. Secretary
d. Treasurer
e. 2 representatives from the general membership
f. Sergeant at Arms
B. Elections will be held at the general membership meeting of February and only members in good standing are eligible to vote.
C. The offices of President, Secretary, Treasurer, the two representatives from the general membership and the Sergeant at Arms will be held every two years.
D. Only paid members shall participate in elections and other voting.
E. A subject submitted for vote to the eligible voting membership shall be determined by simple majority unless otherwise specified.
F. Additional nominations may be made from the floor at the semi annual club re-organization meeting before nominations are declared closed.
G. Elections shall be by written ballot.
ARTICLE 7: COMMITTEES
A. Committees shall be organized and committee chairpersons shall be appointed as deemed necessary by the Club President. Examples of club committees are:
a. Club Photography/Historian
b. Show Co-Ordination
c. Dance Committee
d. Club Sponsorship
e. Jacket/T-Shirt/Hat/Drag Plaque etc.
ARTICLE 8: BY LAW CHANGES
Changes or Amendments to the stated By-Laws of the Coasters Car Club, Inc. can be made if approved by a 2/3 majority at three consecutive meetings where a quorum of eligible membership is present provided that notice of the proposed change or amendment has been given at a previous meeting. For these purposes, a quorum shall be defined as forty members.
ARTICLE 9: STANDING RULES
No part of the net earnings or money of this organization shall be directly distributed to, or spent to insure the benefit of any club member, director or officer of this association, or to any contributor or business or associate of the organization. In the event of dis-solution or liquidation of the assets of this association, any assets remaining as property of Coasters Car Club, Inc. shall be distributed to charitable not for profit organizations or institutions in our communities as may be designated by the Executive Board of the club.
